"Approximately 50 families have been evacuated from the area where the sinkhole formed this morning at dawn in Casoria, near Largo San Mauro. A small garbage truck collapsed into the hole, which is approximately 8 meters wide and 12 meters deep. The driver, a 57-year-old local man, was slightly injured; some colleagues helped him to safety. Carabinieri from the Casoria Company and firefighters from Naples and Afragola were on site. According to firefighters, the gas line was damaged by the collapse and is being repaired. Two businesses were closed as a precaution, and the road was blocked. closed to traffic.
