Two people were arrested overnight by Carabinieri from the Montesarchio unit, along with those from the Arpaia and Arienzo stations, on orders from prosecutor Maria Colucci of the Benevento prosecutor's office. They are accused of the attempted murder of a homeless man the other morning. The man, a 30-year-old from Genoa, was found bleeding yesterday at a service station in Forchia. The Carabinieri arrested two people: a 51-year-old from Forchia and an 18-year-old from Arienzo in the province of Caserta. The attack was reportedly triggered by an argument between the three following the 30-year-old's attempt to enter the business owned by the businessman from Caudina. According to initial investigations, the 18-year-old stabbed the man in the abdomen. The man then fled on foot, wounded, until he reached a gas station located along the Appia state road, where he was found, treated, and taken to the hospital. The homeless man told the emergency crew members who rescued him that he had injured himself in a fall. However, the events reconstructed by the Carabinieri, who reviewed video footage from surveillance cameras at the Forchia store (which the businessman allegedly attempted to erase, along with the bloodstains), revealed a different scenario. Meanwhile, yesterday afternoon, the 30-year-old underwent surgery at Rummo Hospital and is out of danger. The 18-year-old, currently in the Capodimonte prison in Benevento, faces charges of attempted murder; while the 51-year-old, who is under house arrest, faces charges of aiding and abetting.
