“A citizen reported to us a photo showing how the Gaiola beach is reduced at sunset. Bathers abandon everything on the sand: glasses, used disposable dishes, glass bottles and food scraps. An uncivilized and shameful attitude that adds to the shortcomings of the Asia service that does not regularly empty the bins which, among other things, are few if compared to the amount of people who frequent the beach during the summer months. Unfortunately, the entire area seems to be a no man's land. No one respects the Gaiola ZTL, with cars and scooters that are often parked in no-parking areas, preventing the passage of emergency vehicles. Suffice it to say that, when there was a need, rescue was forced to arrive by sea”. This was reported by the regional councilor of the Greens Francesco Emilio Borrelli and the councilor of the Sole che Ride in the I Municipality Gianni Caselli. “We sent a note to Asia asking them to empty the bins regularly and to provide the area with a greater number of bins. Gaiola beach is a landscape heritage of the city and we cannot accept that it is reduced in this way".
