The sustainable revolution is the most important form of change in our world. A revolution that must be fought every day with small gestures that together translate into a lifestyle.
It is from these premises that “Zero Waste Hospitality & Sustainable Tourism” comes to life, an ambitious project, born on the initiative of Senators Sergio Puglia and Luisa Angrisani, which will be presented during a conference-event that will be held on Friday 20 September, at 10 am, in the Hall of the Institute of Santa Maria in Aquiro, in the Senate of the Republic, in Piazza Capranica 72, Rome.
The initiative aims to relaunch the already well-established experience of the “Hotel Rifiuti Zero” strategy, conceived by Antonino Esposito, and the “Impatto Ecosostenibile Zero Waste Campania” association chaired by Emiddio Esposito and founded by Pino Apicella.
On the basis of processes already underway, the aim is to stimulate a transformation process of tourist-accommodation facilities aimed at reducing environmental impact through the reuse and recycling of materials, energy efficiency, the use of new technologies for the production of clean energy, up to arriving at an effective system of separate waste collection.
An ambitious project, already successfully tested in various hotel facilities and which now aims to extend like wildfire to all the accommodation facilities in the country, through legislative measures and initiatives in the fields of training, environmental protection and the relaunch of tourism.
