On Saturday 5 October at 19.00:XNUMX pm, the silk haute couture of San Leucio is in Naples at the Mondragone Foundation with the fashion show by designer Eva Scala who presents a collection of dresses made with fabrics from Alois Showroom by Tradizione Serica Alois srl. The event, which represents a bridge between the ancient and modern textile tradition of Campania, is supported by the presence of HRH Princess Beatrice of Bourbon Two Sicilies.
The young designer Eva Scala – an expert in fashion design, trained at the London College of Fashion and the European Chamber of Haute Couture in Rome and who boasts a collaboration with the prestigious fashion house Alexander McQueen – offers the charm of women's clothes created with prestigious and fine fabrics that have dressed the greatest courts of Europe.
The collection, complete with original accessories, arrives on the catwalk after years of work, studies and research in archives and libraries to recover the historical designs of the tradition of the Real Fabbrica di San Leucio founded by Ferdinand IV and recognized as a UNESCO heritage site. Starting from the avant-garde production of textile textures such as herringbone and jacquard, typical of the Leucian silk tradition, Eva Scala re-proposes the fabrics with her creativity in a contemporary key in a new Made in Italy collection produced in Campania.
The garments are entirely hand-made but at the same time versatile – jackets or “pantalon suits” that enhance feminine charm, as well illustrated by the website www.evascala.com – marry the desire of a modern woman who wants to return to seducing with class and style, wearing exclusive garments with versatility.
In the setting of the seventeenth-century Neapolitan palace of the Dukes of Mondragone, home to an ancient women's tailoring school, Eva Scala's fashion show is ready to launch the ancient tradition of San Leucio silks, a production that has lasted for more than two hundred years, onto the international high fashion scene.
