Battipaglia: Waste Plant Fire. Legambiente: 'Enough! We need to find a solution to stop the illegal fire'

More fire and flames are raging in Battipaglia. And the news reports yet another blaze, this time in a disused tire treatment plant. And if one clue is a clue, two clues are a coincidence, three clues are proof: the Piana del Sele is at the center of strange and disturbing black smoke rising, detrimental to the health of residents, the environment, and the local economy. Enough! There's no more time; we need to shine a spotlight on that area and find a solution to stop the illegal burning. We call for a control room to coordinate police forces and institutions to intensify controls and prevent these phenomena, adopting the method already tested for fires in the Land of Fires. We also invite the Bicameral Commission on the Illegal Waste Cycle to conduct an inspection of the Piana del Sele, opening the "Battipaglia" chapter regarding the phenomenon of fires in the numerous waste treatment plants.
