A five-year-old boy fell from the second floor of a building but was saved by a passerby. The incident occurred near the Ip gas station along provincial road 159 in Casalmaiocco, in the province of Lodi. The child is currently being checked out in non-critical condition at the Vizzolo Predabissi hospital in the province of Milan, having been caught in mid-air by a 20-year-old man who was later rescued after falling to the ground due to the impact. A few seconds before the fall, the child had been seen moving along the curb of the balcony by people waiting in the square below the building, which overlooks the gas station and a car wash. The 20-year-old, also now in the hospital but in non-critical condition, did not hesitate: he ran to the foot of the building and managed to break his fall. The Carabinieri of Lodi are currently investigating and conducting checks to determine how the accident occurred and where the parents were at the time.
