Today, the Naples Flying Squad executed a custodial order issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Naples, at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against a person, a member of the De Micco Camorra clan, operating in the Ponticelli district, held responsible for premeditated murder, illegal possession and carrying of a common firearm and receiving stolen goods with the aggravating circumstance of having acted by taking advantage of the conditions set out in Article 416 bis of the Criminal Code deriving from participation in the Camorra organization called the De Micco clan, as well as for the purpose of facilitating and consolidating the expansion of the association to which he belongs in the Ponticelli district.

The investigations, coordinated by the Anti-Mafia District Directorate of Naples, have allowed the context to be outlined and at least two of the perpetrators to be identified, one of whom was, in turn, the victim of a Camorra ambush in August 2016.

The precautionary measure was issued against DE MARTINO Antonio, born in Naples on 14.8.1989, already convicted for another murder committed in December 2016, that of SOLLA SALVATORE, again for the DE MICCO clan.

The murder of Nunzia D'Amico, committed on 10 October 2015, was the result of a precise strategy by the DE MICCO clan, whose objective was not only to gain absolute control of the Conocal drug dealing areas but also to demonstrate, by the DE MICCOs, the annihilation of the D'Amico clan.

Striking NUNZIA D'AMICO, identified for all intents and purposes as the head of the clan and representative of the family, inside her own stronghold was a sensational gesture that had the aim of making the end of the “fraulella” organization evident, and which made it necessary to carefully study NUNZIA D'AMICO's movements, prepare an alibi for the heads of the clan and infiltrate the D'AMICO family itself.
