The notice for children of victims of fatal accidents at work who attend schools, training courses, and universities was published today in BURC No. 54.
Legitimate, natural, recognized or recognizable, and adoptive children of parents who died in fatal accidents at work, including while commuting, may benefit from the financial contribution.
The contribution covers registration fees, tuition fees, purchase of textbooks, canteen services and public transport, purchase of school aids for disabled students.
"Supporting the families of victims of fatal workplace accidents by providing financial support for their children's education is a concrete act of solidarity. While it does not alleviate the tragedy of losing a loved one, it does demonstrate the Campania Region's strong commitment to the issue of workplace safety, which must be addressed comprehensively, with profound changes to existing regulations.
And if the statistics show us a reality in which there is a close link between undeclared work and accidents, we have also extended the benefit to the children of victims without mandatory insurance coverage.”
This is according to the regional councillor for labour, Sonia Palmeri.
The measure is aimed at young students up to 28 years old (or up to 35 if university students).
