Capri, Chinese tourist reports disappearance of two million euro worth of jewels from yacht during cruise in the Gulf

Capri. A Chinese tourist has filed a report of the theft or loss of jewelry valued at approximately €2 million with the Carabinieri station in Capri. The theft apparently occurred aboard a chartered yacht, which had been anchored off Marina Grande for several days. The yacht was carrying approximately 30 people, almost all Chinese, and 30 crew members. The woman disembarked on the island and went to the Carabinieri station, where, with the help of an interpreter, she explained that she had boarded the yacht in Naples for a cruise in the Gulf and that she still had the bag containing the jewelry when she departed. Only later, after several days, did she realize the jewelry was missing. The Carabinieri are investigating.
