Casavatore – Majority in crisis: Mayor Luigi Maglione and Direzione Italia coordinator Salvatore Pollice are clashing after the request to recall Councilor Daniele Esposito. The main bone of contention is the Marino brothers. It's shaping up to be a very heated autumn politically and administratively, with a series of rumors suggesting the two opposition councilors, Maria Marino and Francesco Galletta, are joining the majority. Indeed, even before the summer holidays, yet another row has erupted within the Maglione majority, following the well-publicized issue surrounding the appointment of Councilor Diego Moronese, who has also been under investigation by investigators and has yet to be replaced, perhaps because they believe that the circumstances for which he was "frozen" will diminish over time, and the appointment can be re-submitted. Now, however, the controversy has erupted within the Direzione Italia party, which, through a communication signed by coordinator Salvatore Pollice, is calling for the immediate removal of councilor Daniele Esposito, who is deemed not to be aligned with the group on the council, but to have political ties to the brothers Angelo and Vito Marino. Upon receiving the communication, Mayor Maglione provocatively posted it on his social media profile, without explaining its meaning, but triggering the initial reactions of the Direzione Italia group, ready to spark a full-blown crisis within the majority. Coordinator Pollice promptly responded: "Dear Mayor," the coordinator wrote, "you must publish more important matters. The town is in shambles, the streets are overrun with garbage, the schools are empty, the municipal police are blocked, the greenery is no longer visible, and you? You are publishing a revocation agreed upon with the council group for just cause. Mr. Daniele Esposito is not a member of Direzione Italia but, as he himself says, refers to the Marinos. Therefore, given the first 100 days and his political affiliation with another group, you were asked to revoke his position. I hope you care about the fate of Casavatore and wish you good luck in your work." A no-holds-barred clash that could, at least according to rumors, soon lead to the formation of a new government.
