Civic awareness is awakening in Castel Volturno: residents are taking to the streets and cleaning up the city. A good practice is gaining ground in the Municipality of Castel Volturno, where exhausted residents, equipped with all the essential cleaning supplies, are starting from their driveways, removing trash bags and bulky items, pulling out weeds and brush, and providing a do-it-yourself street cleaning service.
Such civil commitment has not gone unnoticed. The Brothers of Italy group, through its spokespersons, did not shy away from public applause. “Brothers of Italy wants to thank the citizens of Castel Volturno,” says Flavio Iovene, coordinator of the group and city councilor. “In such a delicate and emergency moment that afflicts our territory like garbage and fires, citizens taking to the streets show unconditional love for their territory. We supported them but the credit must be given to them because without them we won’t get anywhere.
