The first week of October, from Thursday to Sunday, the seaside village of Santa Marina will be animated by the Cilento Beer Fest, a Cilento tribute to the famous German festival dedicated to beer, the Oktoberfest.
There are many culinary specialties in Germany, above all the famous sausages, served in all sauces.
And, in addition, lots of live music, selected with one aim: to make those present dance.
The dances will open on Thursday 3 October with one of the most cheeky trios of Cilento, The Bordello Rock 'n' Roll Band, a concentration of rock 'n' roll energy played with a punk attitude, to relive the myth of the '50s/'60s, between Elvis Presley and the Beatles, between Chuck Berry and the Doors.
On Friday, October 4th, it will be the turn of the roots rock of Stick Shag to make the audience of the Cilento Beer Fest dance, while on Saturday 5th, the energetic pop of Infelici will take to the stage, with covers and unreleased songs including “Peppe Capacchio'”. The dances will close on Sunday 6th with a live broadcast of RCS Network Radio. Let's not forget the resident DJ, BB Castagna, who will be responsible for continuing the dances after the concerts, every evening.
The Cilento Beer Fest will take place in a tent set up on the port of Policastro, with free parking; stands will open at 19:00 p.m.; concerts will start at 22:00 p.m. (except Friday 4th, at 00:10 a.m., to honor the patronal feast of San Francesco).
