The Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA) has taken a heavy-handed approach in the trial of a drug trafficking ring operating between Santa Maria Capua Vetere, San Tammaro Curti, Casapulla, San Prisco, and Macerata, Campania, who were caught by the Carabinieri as part of the White Stone investigation. DDA magistrate Landolfi requested 57 convictions, with sentences ranging from 8 to 20 years in prison, for the defendants charged, on various counts, with conspiracy to traffic narcotics and with the production, possession, and sale of narcotics. The investigation uncovered the group that had formed after the disbandment of the group led by Fava in 2013 and is based on the statements of collaborators with justice, corroborated by wiretaps and shadowing. Specifically, the group dealt in cocaine and crack, which was also sold in some areas of the provinces of Naples and Avellino. The defense team includes, among others, lawyers Angelo Raucci, Raffaele and Gaetano Crisileo.
