Sentenced to 21 years and six months for the murder of labor lawyer Massimo D'Antona, former terrorist Federica Saraceni has been under house arrest since 2005 and, as La Verità reveals, has been receiving a citizen's income, a €623 check, since last August, despite the fact that one of the requirements for obtaining it is not being subject to a "personal precautionary measure." Among the impediments, notes the newspaper edited by Maurizio Belpietro, is the requirement of having been definitively convicted of very serious crimes in the ten years preceding the request. From this point of view, the former Red Brigades member, daughter of one of the founders of the Democratic Magistrates, Luigi Saraceni, who later entered politics and was elected to Parliament with the Democrats of the Left and the Greens, is in compliance: Saraceni's final sentence dates back to June 28, 2007. However, the newspaper emphasizes, "it is not easy to understand how she was able to obtain, while under house arrest, an allowance that should be a prerequisite for finding a job," so much so that "in the coming days," notes Verità, "the Ministry of Labor (with which D'Antona was working when he was assassinated) that devised the measure and the INPS that pays the subsidy will have to provide an explanation."
