(Sky; DAZN; Mediaset; Netflix, Infinity). The investigation, directed by the Public Prosecutor of Naples, Dr. Giovanni Melillo and coordinated by the Deputy Prosecutor, Dr. Vincenzo Piscitelli and the deputy prosecutor Dr. Valeria Sico, has allowed the identification and deactivation of the international IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) platform most widespread among computer pirates. A dense commercial network, spread throughout the national territory and with bases mainly in Lombardy, Veneto, Campania, Puglia, Calabria and Sicily received the signal thanks to this technology illegally acquiring entire packages of content for subsequent resale to the end customer at a price of approximately 12 Euros allowing to watch all the main TV schedules with a single subscription. 8 European investigation orders issued by the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office which, through the European Agency for Investigative Coordination and Judicial Cooperation 'Eurojust', were simultaneously executed this morning in Holland, France, Greece, Germany and Bulgaria by the respective judicial police forces with the assistance of the military of the Special Unit against 3 companies and 5 individuals in addition to the seizure and blackout of the entire Xtream Codes platform, 80 websites and 183 servers dedicated to the reproduction and diffusion of audiovisual flows, provided, at the time of the seizure, to over 700.000 online users. 25 are the objectives of today's searches on the national territory which, in addition to dismantling actual centers used for the abusive dissemination of the signal received thanks to the Xtream Codes platform, aim to attack the proceeds illicitly obtained by the organization through the seizure of 197 financial relationships between PayPal accounts, Postepay and current accounts. The proceedings against those responsible for the organization are for Criminal Association aimed at the illicit reproduction and marketing of IPTV with the aggravated circumstance of the transnational crime; against the users of the service, the provisions are imprisonment from six months to 3 years and a fine of up to 25.822 Euro.
