Federlab Italia arrives in Brussels. In the presence of President Gennaro Lamberti and Deputy President Pietro Napolitano, the trade association representing accredited private clinical analysis laboratories and outpatient clinics (with over 2 member facilities nationwide) opened its offices at 65 Avenue Louise, a stone's throw from the European Parliament (where the association is registered with the Stakeholder Transparency Register). Federlab Italia's presence in the "EU capital" stems "from the need and, above all, the desire to broaden the horizons of healthcare policies, with an eye on the Old Continent," explained Lamberti and Napolitano. As a trade association, the two association leaders added: "Federlab is particularly committed to analyzing the 'right to health' as it is recognized and exercised in the various countries of the European Community." Therefore, there will be room for "in-depth exploration of issues such as the free movement of patients (so-called 'cross-border medicine'), competition between healthcare facilities (both public and private), without neglecting the economic sustainability of the various European national healthcare systems, scientific research, and technological innovation in healthcare, with particular reference to so-called 'Big Data' and artificial intelligence," concluded Lamberti and Napolitano.
