A long round of applause accompanied the naming of the grandstand of the Nappi stadium in Somma Vesuviana, in the province of Naples, after Mario Cerciello Rega. It took place in the presence of the President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, the Mayor of Somma Vesuviana, Salvatore Di Sarno, the President of Lega Pro, Francesco Ghirelli, the Police Forces and the citizens. Mrs. Rosa Maria, his wife, also spoke. “Vice Brigadier Mario Cerciello Rega. Values and legality on the field for life. For Mario” is what the plaque at the stadium says. The naming is part of the initiatives of the day of legality dedicated to the soldier killed in Rome last July, promoted by the Ethics Committee of Lega Pro with the Municipality of Somma Vesuviana.
