Carabinieri from the Giugliano in Campania mobile radio unit arrested Fortuna Lubrano, a 39-year-old local woman already known to law enforcement, for aggravated theft.
The woman entered a pet store and took some items. She then targeted a “Spiz Pomeranian” puppy, a small dog displayed in a basket. She took it and then hid it in her bag.
She went out, but not satisfied with her loot, after a few minutes she returned to the aisles of the store. The owner realized her intentions and alerted the police.
The small Spiz, worth around 2000 euros, was recovered by the military from the 39-year-old's home and then returned - in perfect health - to the owners of the shop.
Placed under house arrest, Lubrano awaits trial with a direct trial.
