Nestled in the Matese Regional Park, the splendid village of Letino (Caserta) will experience three days of international scope, from 12 to 14 September, with the events of the first International Festival of Culture. In addition to artists, writers, actors and musicians, the Festival will bring to Letino, from Italy and abroad, distinguished personalities of international culture, globalism, solidarity, dialogue between religions, journalism, art, theatre, music and literature, who will be awarded recognition for their professional and humanitarian activity.
Among the honorees are Hafez Haidar, professor of Arabic literature at the University of Pavia, writer and poet, nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017 and 2018 and in 2019 nominated for the Nobel Prize for Literature, one of the most authoritative voices in the intercultural dialogue between Christianity and Islam; SM Tchiffi Zie Jean Cervais, Secretary General of the Forum of Sovereigns and Traditional Leaders of Africa, internationally recognized as a humanitarian activist and spokesperson for African Development; Cbohou Toudie Roger, vice president of the People's University of Nations, responsible for international relations at the People's University of Milan, founder of the International Economic Council of the nascent African Diaspora; Goffredo Palmerini, journalist for international newspapers and writer, scholar of Italian emigration and former deputy mayor of L'Aquila.
And also Vladimiro Ariano, rector of the Free University of Social Sciences and Tourism of Naples and Secretary General of the newly formed international organization for the social and cultural improvement of African countries; Giovanni Brandi Cordasco Salmena di San Quirico, jurist and historical and social researcher of Law in his continuous adherence to everyday reality; Adolfo Giuliani, founder in the 2000s in Naples of the international painting movement "Esasperatismo"; Fabio Andreotti, world-famous tenor and musician; Luca Filippone, president of Spoleto Festival Art; Marcello Gentile - SM Don Marcello Maria I, sovereign of the Kingdom of Saints Peter and Paul; Sergio Camellini, poet and clinical psychologist.
Art, poetry, theater and music will therefore be a stimulus of suggestions in the enchanting mountain village of Caserta - 1050 meters above sea level, a magnificent castle and houses overlooking the lake -, which for its future has decided to invest in creativity and culture, with a far-sighted choice of the municipal administration led by mayor Pasquale Orsi. The Festival was conceived and organized by the poets Gino Iorio and Anna Cappella and by the art critic Carlo Roberto Sciascia, creating a clever mix of events.
The events will begin on the afternoon of Thursday, September 12, at 16:13 p.m., with the vernissage of the Contemporary Art Exhibition, curated by the critic Carlo Roberto Sciascia. On Friday the 15th, at 74:XNUMX p.m., the lava stone Stele will be unveiled, bearing the lyric Letino, composed by the poet Gino Iorio, awarded a bronze medal by the President of the Senate as part of the National Poetry Competition “Vittorio Alfieri” in Asti. This will be followed by the ceremony awarding honors to XNUMX talents of world culture, protagonists in Campania, Italy and the world.
The International Festival of Culture will be presented by journalists Ilva Primavera, Antonio Miele, Vincenzo Pietropinto. The musical arrangements that will be the soundtrack to the event will be interpreted by Venovan, Antonio Lieto and Vincenzo Tagliaferri and by the bel canto of tenor Fabio Andreotti. The direction of the Festival is curated by Ciro Iannone.
