“I want to say goodbye to my true friends. I'm trying to delay my death.” Nadia Toffa says this in a video recorded last December, a 20-minute video, a farewell for Le Iene, before her death last August from cancer. The Corriere della Sera wrote about the video today, interviewing the author of Le Iene, Davide Parenti, who says: “We are a family and when someone in the family dies, we move on, but it was terrible.” Tomorrow the program starts again, Nadia will be remembered and, the newspaper reports, the video she wanted to make will be proposed. “The surprise is that I would like to meet friends, old, new, loved ones, relatives, colleagues who have left a mark on this terrible last year of mine, people who really matter. I want to see them now because I have changed so much in this last year. It's not how long you live, but how you live. I'm doing everything I can to delay my death. We'll see how much time I still have, but I don't think much,” says Nadia, who will then meet relatives and friends. “The tragedy throws the truth in your face, everything is clearer. You understand who loves you, and that true friends don’t abandon you,” Nadia continues. Not all the videos recorded before her death will be broadcast: “It’s not yet time to broadcast them – explains Parenti – too painful. We’ll see later”.
