Friday 13 September new appointment with Il Nostro Caro Lucio, the storytelling-concert by Donato Zoppo and the Uomini Celesti, based on the book of the same name by Zoppo published by Hoepli on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of the death of Lucio Battisti. After a summer with targeted appearances in important festivals such as Poietika (Venafro) and Covergreen (Piombino), the project dedicated to Lucio Battisti returns to Benevento (Morgana Music Club – Via Umberto I, 9), before the concerts in the theater that will start at the end of October.
Our Dear Lucio debuted at the Roccella Jazz Winter Edition (world premiere and original production of the Festival, one of the most important jazz events in Europe), it is a show that combines storytelling, music, reflection and many Battisti classics reinvented in a rock key. Donato Zoppo and the Uomini Celesti tell the adventure of Battisti and Mogol, the music that was around between the 60s and 70s, between the economic boom, the years of lead, vinyl, dreams, hopes, public and private dramas.
From the end of the 60s until his death, Lucio Battisti revolutionized Italian song: he opened it to the most disparate foreign influences, first with the unrepeatable alchemy with Mogol, then in the experimental path with Pasquale Panella. Our dear Lucio - History, songs and secrets of a giant of Italian music, Zoppo's second book dedicated to Battisti, narrates the entire story of the artist with curiosities, interviews and testimonies of those who were close to him and knew him. Lucio Battisti revealed himself to be a restless, reserved and elusive artist, who let his work speak, holding very few concerts, refusing interviews and television appearances.

Giampaolo Capone: electric guitar, backing vocals.
Diego Ruggiero: bass guitar, backing vocals.
