Cava de' Tirreni. This morning, Wednesday 11 September, around 12:118, the Municipal Police intervened with all available personnel following a report of a fire that had broken out in via Ido Longo, in a large garden of a private home, opposite the elementary and nursery school of the Sant'Arcangelo hamlet. Having noted the seriousness of the fire with the flames affecting the material stored in the large garden, the dense black cloud released, the danger due to the presence of gas cylinders and adjacent homes, the Municipal Police personnel immediately evacuated the school complex, called the Fire Brigade who intervened with four tankers, the XNUMX emergency service, and provided assistance to the residents most affected by the fire.
“A well-deserved thank you to the Command and the personnel of the Local Police – says Councilor Giovanni Del Vecchio – for the timely intervention that prevented damage to people and the spread of the fire to nearby homes and at that point it could have become a tragedy. They coordinated all the activities allowing a rapid and effective intervention by the Fire Brigade who secured the area and cleared it from possible regurgitations of the fire which was very dangerous due to the presence of gas cylinders”.
