A terrible road accident occurred yesterday at dawn on the A1 motorway at km 65 heading north. For reasons still being investigated by the traffic police, who have carried out the legal investigations, two tractor-trailers collided. A truck driver died in the collision. The man Carmine Caiazza, 51 years old from Striano, an employee of a local company, remained trapped in the wreckage of the passenger compartment. The help of the 118 health personnel, who arrived in an ambulance, was in vain; despite all the efforts of the health workers to save him from death, in the end they could do nothing but confirm his death. The news of the tragic death immediately spread around the small town at the foot of Vesuvius, which rallied around Caiazza's family, who leaves behind his wife and two daughters in deep grief.
