Discover the stories and legends that have characterized the territory of Boscoreale over time through a walk in the alleys and squares of the historic center. The Festa del Vino, dei sapori e dei saperi vesuviani of Boscoreale adheres to #InvasioniDigitali and does so on the occasion of its twentieth edition scheduled for Sunday 6, Thursday 10, Friday 11, Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October 2019.
In conjunction with the Extemporanea di Pittura, which traditionally kicks off the event, this year the organizers of the Il Nuovo Vesuvio Cultural Association wanted to enrich the morning with a series of cultural initiatives.
On Sunday 6 October, Piazza Pace, which for the occasion will be renamed Piazza del Sapere, will host, starting at 10.00:11.00 am, the painting competition dedicated to wine and Vesuvius (open to all free of charge), but it will also be possible to visit the photographic exhibitions dedicated to the Vesuvian territory and, from XNUMX:XNUMX am, take part in the Digital Invasion entitled “Stories and legends of the village on the streets of Boscoreale” curated by Professor Lucia Oliva.
"This short and intense itinerary through the historic center of Boscoreale was born a long time ago, from the stories of my grandparents, from the voices of the courtyards, from literary sources, from meetings on the street until it became a story that I exhibited in the exhibition Boscoreale and its cultural treasures curated by the Associazione Il Nuovo Vesuvio. The research continued in the places of the city linked to these rediscovered stories becoming the work 'Per le strade di Boscoreale' which had three chapters including different areas of the town: the first from S. Maria Salome to the Cemetery, the second from Passanti to Marra and the third from Piazza Vargas to the Antiquarium. The last work 'Tracce d'antico nella Boscoreale moderna' contains some of the stories that I will tell on October 6th starting from Piazza Pace in search of a past that does not want to be forgotten, but that intrigues the seekers of stories leaving traces here and there in the city" - explains Professor Lucia Oliva.
The event on Sunday 6 October is organised in collaboration with the portal ecampania.it, born in June 2014 with the aim of promoting the culture and tourism of Campania through digital storytelling. Ecampania.it has already joined the Invasioni Digitali project since 2015, organising three stages (Valle dei Mulini in Gragnano, Villa Settecento in Terzigno, Pontile di Bagnoli in Naples).
Participation in #invasionidigitali is free. Reservations are appreciated by sending an email to associazioneilnuovovesuvio@gmail.com indicating the names of the participants. Don't forget to bring your cell phones and cameras.
