Juve Stabia plays but Branduani lets 5 goals in

A sensational performance at the Romeo Menti stadium in Castellammare di Stabia: Ascoli handed out an incredible 5-1 defeat to Juve Stabia. After a well-played first half but a lack of scoring after numerous chances, the Caserta team's second half was a horror: they conceded five goals, at least three of which were the fault of a very distracted Branduani. On Tuesday, on another difficult pitch like Crotone, it will be truly difficult to bounce back from this humiliating defeat.
What happened during the first 45 minutes of Juve Stabia-Ascoli was something absurd, something that is rarely seen on a football pitch. Caserta's men were able to create 10 very clear goal opportunities, right from the first moments of the match. Canotto missed 15 in 4 minutes, two of them sensational (Leali was great but also helped by the post). Leali himself soon after outdid himself on Tonucci on a header and on the subsequent rebound by Vitiello. Cissè also joined the festival of mistakes, shooting sky-high in front of the opposing goalkeeper. The last, sensational goal opportunity for Juve Stabia came after a very good move by Cissè, whose cross was deflected onto the crossbar by Brosco. Ascoli was crushed in their own half of the pitch but dangerous on at least two occasions: first with Ninkovic and then with Piccinocchi, both shots deflected by Branduani.
If the first half was full of wasted opportunities by Juve Stabia, the second half was a goal festival. In the space of two minutes Da Cruz scored a brace on the counterattack (the first was probably offside). On the wings of enthusiasm the team from the Marche region came very close to scoring the third with Ninkovic, whose conclusion went off the post. The Wasps' reaction was, however, vehement: a confused action in the opponent's area was transformed into a goal by Cissè with a scissor kick. The men from Caserta pushed hard on the accelerator and first a goal by Vitiello was disallowed, then a nice shot by Forte was rejected by the post again, the third of the match. After this opportunity the gailloblu' melted like snow in the sun. Branduani, the worst on the pitch, was even mocked on his post by the young Chajia. It didn't end there because Germoni, naively, caused a penalty kick that Ardemagni converted. A humiliating 4-1 that Branduani makes absurd: an unpretentious free kick from Pucino turns into the final 5-1.

Juve Stabia also comes out unscathed from Brescia despite referee Marinelli

by Giuseppe Del Gaudio May 4, 2025 - 18:11 am 18:11

Talking about Juve Stabia being the surprise package of the Serie B championship is an insult to the performances of Coach Pagliuca's players. Today in Brescia, they played over 50 minutes with ten men following a bizarre red card for Sgarbi by Marinelli, who has consistently been a negative figure against the Wasps, as he was against Napoli in…
