Juve Stabia fails to get back up: Cittadella also passes

The nightmare period for Juve Stabia continues: Cittadella also wins 1-0 at the Menti thanks to a goal in the second half by Diaw. This is the most difficult period for Fabio Caserta since he became coach of the Wasps. Despite the energy in the press conference, the team did not take to the field with the same nastiness that the coach showed on the eve. The next match at home to Trapani, an absolutely within reach opponent, must be won at all costs. Otherwise drastic decisions will be inevitable.
The first half between the two teams was full of technical errors. Both teams did not offer any tactical ideas, the only option was the long throw towards the forwards, always too isolated. Two chances in the first 45 minutes: the first on the right of Bifulco that forced Paleari to a great save, and the other for De Marchi, good at anticipating everyone but his conclusion went just wide.
For the rest, really little stuff. To be highlighted positively the performance of Del Sole, to be highlighted at the first, very bad instead Germoni on the left side.
In the second half, Juve Stabia started off much better than their opponents. A potentially important opportunity for Di Gennaro who failed to make the most of a very inviting 3 vs 2, a couple of shots from Cissè and the positive entry of Elia gave the Wasps hope. Yes, because the usual goal naively conceded arrived on time: from a throw-in in favor of the yellow and blues, Cittadella recovered the ball on the edge of the area and with a powerful and precise shot from Diaw found the lead. After the away goal, Caserta's men did not react at all, making almost every mistake that could be made.

Juve Stabia also comes out unscathed from Brescia despite referee Marinelli

by Giuseppe Del Gaudio May 4, 2025 - 18:11 am 18:11

Talking about Juve Stabia being the surprise package of the Serie B championship is an insult to the performances of Coach Pagliuca's players. Today in Brescia, they played over 50 minutes with ten men following a bizarre red card for Sgarbi by Marinelli, who has consistently been a negative figure against the Wasps, as he was against Napoli in…
