The new program of courses and cultural activities that will begin in September, organized by Lalineascritta, a creative writing laboratory founded and directed by the writer Antonella Cilento, will be presented on Wednesday 18 September at 18 pm, at the headquarters in via Kerbaker 23 in Naples. There are many new features for the twenty-seventh year of activity, with courses divided into short cycles in order to meet the needs of an increasingly wider audience interested in exploring different aspects of writing. All lessons, except for exceptions indicated in the program, will be held in Naples at the Lalineascritta al Vomero location. Details, program and information: www. lalineascritta.it; info@lalineascritta.it In 2019-20, the relationship between writing and cinema and writing and television will be explored in depth. The writer and screenwriter Francesco Costa will lead the screenwriting workshop for cinema, in six lessons from October to December, “Innamorarmi ancora”, while the workshop by the screenwriter Benedetta Gargano, “Picappa, bildappa e chiudi con un Lots” is dedicated to television screenwriting, with six meetings from April to June 2020. The relationship between Lalineascritta and the theatre is now essential. From the acting point of view, Paolo Oliveri del Castillo will lead the six-monthly workshop “Barefoot on Stage” starting in January, which will end in June with the staging of a free adaptation of the famous comedy “Barefoot in the Park” by Neil Simon, at the Teatro Elicantropo. The annual workshop “On stage! “Imagining the Theatre” curated by Stefania Bruno, from October to June: a complete introduction to writing for the theatre, which also turns out to be a journey of reading and watching the theatre, to learn about its history and learn to watch it, to become aware spectators before authors. Photography and narration are the new pairing of the three “Sensitive emulsions” courses curated by photographer Salvatore Scialò, in collaboration with Antonella and Iole Cilento, for a technical-practical immersion in photography, starting in January. The writer Giuseppe Montesano returns again this year to enthuse with the stories of the lives and works of great authors of world literature, in the cycle of master classes "The Magnificent Seven" from October to April. Pessoa, Foster Wallace, Schulz, Gadda, Li Bai and the poets of the T'Ang period, Wilcock and Proust are the classics chosen for this eighth edition. Fruit of the experience gained over many years of teaching, the tried and tested formula of the courses held by Antonella Cilento is revolutionized and divided into four types: from September "LalineaPrincipianti", an annual course dedicated to writing novices or those who have already published but want to continue their narrative research; "LalineaAvanzato", an annual course for those who have already embarked on the path of the word but want to explore and deepen their knowledge of it and "LalineaMini" for absolute beginners who want to experiment with narrative possibilities for the first time. The success of the previous edition marks the return of “Viaggio al termine del romanzo”: an important annual journey in ten stages to complete your literary project and propose it in the publishing field. For those who have decided to expose themselves and really want to compete with the market. Always focused on storytelling, the course “So far so close” is one of the cornerstones of the Lalineascritta tradition that gathers approval and passionate members from all over the world who, via computer or tablet, follow the lessons in live audio-video with Antonella Cilento with a lively live interaction. The theme treated by Marco Alfano in the “Wound Words” workshop was original: playwriting and literary games. Writing while playing, playing while writing: a workshop on playful writing and literary games. Between Joyce and acrostics, Queneau and disappearing letters and other irresistible oddities. Six meetings are planned, from January to April. To complete the complex vision of the writing and narration process that characterizes Lalineascritta, Stefania Cantelmo and Giuseppe D'Antonio will lead the workshop “The publishing profession”, with Giancarlo Piacci as guest. Twelve meetings, starting in October, with the possibility of being selected to carry out an internship at a publishing house among: Caffèorchidea, Editoriale Scientifica, Edizioni IntraMoenia, Edizioni Spartaco, Wojtek. The three intensive workshops “Scompartimento per lettori e taciturni” conducted by Stefania Cantelmo and Giuseppe D'Antonio also refer to the publishing world and its mechanisms, to discover how to evaluate a text and make reading cards, correct drafts, learn copy editing. Classes start in January. Visual arts will be discussed with Iole Cilento, in the technical-practical laboratory “L'immagine parlante”, a guide for enthusiasts and students of all ages to enhance their expressive abilities and knowledge of modern and contemporary art. At the end of the year, with the arrival of the beautiful season between May and June, we would like to highlight two open-air workshops led by Antonella Cilento: “Mirare”, at the Capodimonte Museum, creative writing in pursuit of the images of the great masters, forever fixed on canvas and forever mobile in our imagination, to steal stories from the paintings; and “Mythos”, immersed in the beauty and charm of the Campi Flegrei, among the ancient thermal baths of Baia, the submerged Baia, the Castle of Baia, Cuma and the Piscina Mirabilis. During the presentation evening on September 18th, all the details of the courses will be provided, as well as a preview of the twelfth edition of the cultural festival "Strane Coppie," which will visit several Italian cities.
