Lúcia de Carvalho in concert at the 27th edition of Ethnos, an international music festival on Friday 20.30 October in San Giorgio a Cremano. The Angolan artist will perform at Villa Vannucchi at XNUMX:XNUMX pm, accompanied by Edouard Heilbronn (guitar, choir) and Lionel Galonnier (drums, percussion, choir).
Angolan origins, Portuguese childhood and French adolescence are the elements that make up the human and artistic experience of Lúcia de Carvalho, a mixed history where African roots coexist with a passion for Brazilian and Portuguese music, but also the encounter with modern sounds such as reggae, funk and pop.
Her career began at 16 as a dancer in the group of the Brazilian singer Bia and only later became the main interpreter of traditional and popular repertoires. Since 2009 she has developed her own original path that allows her to express a communicative ability and a contagious solar energy. Her recent project “Kuzola” which in Kimbundu – the Angolan language spoken by her mother – means “To Love”, includes an album, which sees the participation of 30 musicians and a documentary film, directed by Hugo Bachelet, which tells us about a sort of pilgrimage that Lúcia makes to rediscover her roots.

The 2019 edition of Ethnos, a festival conceived and directed by Gigi Di Luca that this year involved 8 municipalities in the province of Naples, continues on Saturday 28 September at 18 pm in Massa Lubrense (Belvedere dell'Annunziata) with the live meeting between the Duo Bottasso and Simone Sims Longo. They will present the songs from "Biserta e altre storie" live, a project that brings together jazz, contemporary music, electronic music and sound research. The grand finale - on 29 September - in San Giorgio a Cremano with Teresa De Sio. The Neapolitan singer-songwriter and writer will be the protagonist of a double event: in addition to the concert scheduled for 20.30:2019 pm at Villa Vannucchi, in fact, she will collect the Ethnos 18.15 Award, at XNUMX:XNUMX pm at the Villa Bruno Library.

The Ethnos festival is conceived by La Bazzarra, organized by the Municipality of San Giorgio a Cremano, financed by the Campania Region, with the collaboration of the municipalities present in the project and local associations.

All scheduled events are free to enter until seats are filled.
