We contacted the hospital management, who explained the nature of the disruption, which was related to the absence of two staff members who had been temporarily transferred. We wonder how something like this could be possible. We find it absurd that the absence of just two staff members would disrupt the counter. This is an unacceptable situation, for which we have appointed the hospital's new medical director." Francesco Emilio Borrelli, regional councilor for the Green Party and member of the Health Commission, stated: "We have sent a note to the hospital to urge that such incidents not be repeated. What happened today is a sad story. The extremely long lines at the counters have triggered a chain reaction that has caused delays in visits and inconvenience for patients. This spiral is unworthy of the quality of service that citizens deserve."
