A tourist map of Lake Averno, a symbolic site of the Phlegraean Fields, which legend has it was where the Cumaean Sibyl, priestess of Apollo, conducted her oracular work. This initiative is the work of Lake Averno's owners: the map lists the services offered, the activities around the lake, and the site's millennia-old history. The brochure, distributed by the owners themselves, briefly recounts the history of the lake, which lies within a 4000-year-old volcanic crater, and describes its characteristic flora and fauna. The Municipal Administration of Pozzuoli (NAPLES), the municipality that encompasses Lake Averno, reminds that, in addition to the redevelopment of the lakefront and the various enhancement and functionalization projects carried out in the area, a limited traffic zone has been established around the lake on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., in agreement with the business owners. The aim is to extend the pedestrianization of the area until the evening and install a video surveillance camera.
