Over 1000 students from Sarno, like those from 159 other Italian cities, took to the streets on 27/09/2019 to take part in “Friday for Sarno”. This initiative was promoted by “L'Unione degli Studenti” together with the associations and committees active in the area (Legambiente, La Fine della Vergogna, I Genitori Democratici, the Pro Loco, the Scouts etc…). The institutions were also present at the event (Senator Luisa Angrisani, some members of the council from the majority and the opposition).
The young people gathered and took part in a procession with banners and signs, singing protest chants, to ask for a CHANGE in environmental policies and to remember the fire that destroyed the Saretto a few days ago.
The Student Union expresses satisfaction with the participation and the response obtained.

Furthermore, the students of Sarno express deep regret for the exploitation carried out by someone who tried to name the event after his association, trying to excel. It should be emphasized that the students have a conscience and took to the streets with the aim of raising awareness among the local population.
