The fake weapons are displayed on a gilded wooden bed next to two black panthers, also ceramic. The golden assault rifle stands out against the white bedspread; the pistols are less visible because they are milky white. The news was published in Corriere della Sera and Corriere del Mezzogiorno Puglia e Matera, which note that the Libertà district has been the scene of shootings and murders. The shopkeeper explained that the ceramic items are available in three colors: gold, silver, or white, depending on the tastes and budgets of the "many Baresi" who choose them as favors or birthday gifts.
