The twenty-second edition of “Francesco d'Incanto” kicks off tomorrow (Saturday 28 September), one of the most anticipated autumn events in Irpinia, which will see the 4th-century Convent of San Francesco a Folloni di Montella (Avellino) as the protagonist until XNUMX October.
Art, music and spirituality surrounded by nature in a place of enchanting beauty with a calendar full of events: opportunities for prayer and reflection, cultural moments, concerts, initiatives for children, food stands; a unique event promoted by the Francesco d'Incanto Committee chaired by Paola Giannone, with the artistic direction of Roberto D'Agnese for Omast Eventi and under the guidance of Fra Paolo Galante.
The theme of this edition is “You are Eternal Joy”: a Praise to God that represents the joy of Francis, experienced in the encounter with the Crucifix and with the “brother-gift”. Eternal Joy, this joy without beginning or end, and for this very reason eternal, that sadness must not steal, but that must be found in each of us, despite daily worries. Eternal Joy, again, as the possibility that is given to always trust in the Lord.

At 22.30:29 pm in the suggestive Cloister of the Convent Mario Zamma, an international cabaret artist known to the general public as one of the leading faces of "Il Bagaglino", will present the show "Malincomico" and at 11:18 pm on stage the Balkan music of Francesco Banchini Orchestra. At 20.30:2 pm the 9.30th edition of the Torch of Peace, in which the Gruppo Podistico Montellese, running the long distance of about 3 kilometers, from Assisi to Montella, will deliver the torch to the friars of the convent. Today, after sixteen years, the feeling that animated the first edition is more alive than ever and the Montellese community still wants to strongly express its desire for peace and brotherhood. A community that has preserved the sacred sense of hospitality and solidarity towards others, of respect for diversity of culture, race and religion. Following, from 9.30:4 pm, in the splendid Cloister of the convent, Maestro Erasmo Petringa will perform, a virtuoso composer and multi-instrumentalist, who boasts collaborations with great artists of national and international fame, and experiences such as the direction of the Orchestra of the Sanremo Festival, a performance with the great Dario Fo and a performance with Ray Charles in “Blitz” by Gianni Minà. Followed by a performance by the Trio Tarantae.
