A “Social Ice Cream Shop” also in Naples. After Milan, an experience born in Egypt and Jordan, more than two years ago, will be replicated in the capital of Naples. In the Sanità district, the ice cream shop will be inaugurated today, with the aim of creating jobs and valorizing, once again, the territory, 'building' a laboratory structured around the theme of the composition of a quality ice cream. The social value of the project consists in the creation of a training and work laboratory fully inserted in the social and economic 'infrastructure mechanism' and the 'culture of giving', promoted by the San Gennaro Community Foundation in recent years in the Sanità district. A way to continue the promotion of the Sanità district, generate new opportunities for the activation of training internships and for the insertion/reinsertion into the workplace of young people or adults, disabled/disadvantaged, create occasions for the valorization of local craftsmanship, support for social innovation, combining the production of excellence with the social impact of artisanal activity. Three funding bodies: Fondazione Terzo Pilastro, Fondazione San Gennaro and Fondazione Haiku. While the implementing body of the project is Officina dei talento Onlus, partner of the social ice cream shop of the Sanità district, the OnlusAmici Casa della Carità. The project was born in Cairo in 2015 and continued in the Gaza Strip in May 2018. In the meantime, in 2017, the project landed in Italy, in Milan, in the Adriano district, a north-eastern outskirts of the city.
