The Feltrinelli Bookshops together with Mission Bambini Onlus for the first edition of the Banco dei sogni campaign: a direct and concrete way to give joy to those many families with children who live in our cities but who have to face economic difficulties or conditions of hardship on a daily basis.
The campaign to collect goods, promoted for the benefit of a network of nurseries and schools supported by Mission Bambini near the collection points, within critical neighborhoods of various cities, on September 14 and 15 involves 49 laFeltrinelli stores throughout Italy, from Turin to Palermo, passing through Milan and Rome. In Naples, for the first edition, a stall will be set up at the store in Stazione Centrale – Piazza Garibaldi and in Via Tommaso D'Aquino, 70-76 and in via Chiaia 23.
The method is simple and immediate: at the entrance, Mission Bambini volunteers will distribute shopping bags specifically designed for the “Banco dei sogni” initiative, which can be filled as desired with books, toys and stationery that will then be distributed to the participating nurseries and childcare facilities. An opportunity to allocate goods for children that will certainly give a little “breathing space” to those mothers who are continually busy meeting basic needs.
In Milan, for example, you can donate to the L'Impronta Onlus Association “Asilo Nido Il gatto e la volpe” in the Gratosoglio neighborhood; in Naples the books will be donated to Bambù Cooperativa Sociale Onlus in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio, while in Rome to the Association “I Diritti Civili nel 2000 – Salvabebè/Salvamamme” in the XI Portuense neighborhood; in Turin to the voluntary association “Ercole Premoli” in Barriera di Milano, to name a few.
An initiative capable of doing doubly good: to the person to whom the gift is addressed and to the cause supported by Mission Bambini, committed for over 10 years to the development of highly inclusive and accessible early childhood services. Without forgetting that the gift also makes the giver happy.
The complete list of laFeltrinelli stores and the beneficiary organizations participating in the initiative can be found on the website missionbambini.org.
