Naples. "On Friday evening, shortly after 20:XNUMX p.m., the blue-striped parking shed at the Chiaiano Metro station was set on fire. A disturbing episode on which it is appropriate to immediately verify the possible malicious nature of the fire and whether it is linked to criminal appetites that want to take over the management of parking in that area. It is no coincidence that as soon as the service hours ended, unknown persons bothered to set fire to the facility that has not been monitored for some time." This was announced by the regional councilor of the Greens, Francesco Emilio Borrelli, who received the complaint from a citizen, accompanied by photos of the incident.
“It wouldn’t be the first time that criminals and illegal parking attendants sabotage paid parking facilities to replace them,” continues Councilor Borrelli. “Disputes between paid parking staff and illegal parking attendants have been going on for some time in that area. I wouldn’t want this episode to be a retaliation by street criminals. Maximum alert for those who intend to impose the law of violence on the streets of our city at the expense of the legal management of parking.”
