Naples, uncivilized people in action at San Martino: belvedere soiled by the remains of cakes and celebrations

“We continue to receive reports about the conditions in which the San Martino viewpoint appears in the early morning. A stretch of cake remains and dirty plates, broken bottles and paper tissues. As is known, the viewpoint is one of the favorite spots to celebrate birthdays and other events, but it’s a shame that the people celebrating – often and willingly – leave all the garbage they have produced on the spot, reducing one of the most evocative spaces in the city to a pigsty. We have long been denouncing this bad habit and calling for a change of direction. Often and willingly these are young people and it hurts us to realize that the future of our society is even more uncivilized than adults”. This is what regional councilor of the Greens Francesco Emilio Borrelli and host of “La Radiazza” on Radio Marte Gianni Simioli say. “Faced with behavior of this kind, it is cloying to ask for more controls. Calling for the municipal police to go and stalk those who don’t even have the decency to take away the remains of a cake is absurd. So we ask ourselves when this way of doing things will change? When will people understand that urban spaces are to be preserved and not to be dirty?”.
