Naples. When he realized that the objections raised by the financial police during cross-checks of the accounting documentation of his client, the entrepreneur Francesco Truda, were of a criminal nature, the accountant, Alessandro Gelormini, well known in the city for his past as a rugby champion and already involved in another investigation in the summer, convinced them to 'convert' them into administrative objections in exchange for 4 thousand euros. And the two soldiers - whose identity has not yet been disclosed - accepted. However, the accountant asked his client for 6 thousand, in order to pocket 2 thousand. Two financial police officers are also among the four people arrested for corruption today by the Guardia di Finanza of the Economic-Financial Police Unit of Naples. One soldier was ordered to be held in prison. The investigating judge, however, ordered house arrest for the other soldier, for an entrepreneur who works in the logistics and maintenance sector and for the accountant.
At the centre of the criminal activity, according to the prosecution's hypothesis, supported by the issued order, are the well-known Neapolitan professional Alessandro Gelormini, tax consultant also for important maritime transport companies operating on the national territory, and the two members of the Corps in service in Naples, who during an inspection at one of the professional firm's client companies, operating in the environmental services sector and managed by the entrepreneur Francesco Truda, were paid to alter the content of a report, with the specific aim of avoiding criminal charges against the directors of the company being inspected.
During the investigation, the figure of the accountant emerged, ready to intervene in order to remedy the situation that could have led to the configuration of tax crimes, even proceeding to bribe the two financiers. The latter, during a cross-check against the Truda company at the professional's office, accepted the total payment of 4.000 euros in order to avoid bringing to light conduct of criminal relevance (use of invoices for non-existent transactions) by agreeing with the accountant the strategy to give an apparent regularity to the reports drawn up.
In the illicit negotiation, Gelormini also kept for himself a sum of 2.000 euros, which was actually addressed to the same financial police as part of the corrupt payment, but which in fact ended up in his own pockets.
Today, therefore, precautionary measures were carried out against the four protagonists of the illicit activity accused of corruption in competition.
