Naples. She seduced single men near the central station and, after retreating, rendered them unconscious to rob them. This was the approach of KB, a thirty-one-year-old Georgian woman who, at night, near Naples' central station, carried out her criminal activities using the same modus operandi. Confident in her attractiveness and aware of the fascination of her victims, mostly foreign nationals, "the praying mantis" approached them under the pretext of asking for a cigarette, thus laying the groundwork for an approach that would soon ensure the success of the robbery.
By adapting the script to the situation at hand, the Georgian, between an intriguing smile and a languid look, managed to quickly gain the trust of the unfortunate victim on duty, who thus lowered every form of defense and the game was done. Having overcome the distrust, the victim willingly accepted a drink that was offered to him by the thirty-one-year-old, a fruit juice or a coffee that "the mantis" had previously spiked with benzodiazepines, sedative-hypnotic substances belonging to the class of psychotropic drugs that, administered in high doses, induce immediate and deep sleep.
The investigation conducted by the personnel of the Campania Railway Police Department was started after the acquisition of several reports of robberies that presented identical modalities. The Polfer police officers, both with night stakeouts and through sophisticated and widespread video surveillance systems, therefore identified, always near the central station, the woman who corresponded to the description given by the complainants. Accompanied to the offices of the Campania Railway Police Department, the woman, against whom numerous specific precedents emerged, was recognized without a shadow of a doubt by the victims of the robberies; during the house search, part of the stolen goods was found and therefore an arrest was made against her for aggravated robbery and therefore associated with the Pozzuoli Women's Prison. The GIP, in the validation phase, ordered the application of the precautionary measure of custody in prison.
