“A citizen reported to us the pitiful conditions of the soccer field built inside the Villa Comunale in Scampia. A structure that was inaugurated only two years ago and that, after just over 24 months, has seen its appurtenant elements completely vandalized or marked by neglect. It shocks us to think that a property that cost the beauty of 240 thousand euros is reduced to these conditions. The field should represent an oasis of leisure for all the young people of Scampia, instead it almost seems like wandering around a battlefield”. This is what the regional councilor of the Greens Francesco Emilio Borrelli says. “We sent a note to the Sports Department of the Municipality of Naples to report the conditions of degradation that characterize the facility. It needs to be recovered as soon as possible so that it can be made an efficient protagonist in the life of the neighborhood, perhaps with the collaboration of the surrounding schools”.
