Rudy Guede, sentenced to 16 years for the murder of Meredith Kercher in Perugia, has been granted semi-liberty. He will work in the secretariat of the Center for Criminological Studies in Viterbo and return to prison at night, according to the procedures decided by the surveillance court, as confirmed by his lawyer Fabrizio Ballarini. In 2010, Guede was sentenced by the Supreme Court of Cassation to 16 years for the conspiracy murder for which Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito were acquitted in 2015. His lawyers requested a retrial, but this was rejected.
