Piero De Luca: 'Available to dialogue also with M5S in Campania'

"Should the conditions also exist in Campania for a political programmatic synthesis that obviously starts from the extraordinarily positive and successful experience of Governor Vincenzo De Luca, we are ready and available to discuss this with all political forces, and possibly even with the Five Star Movement." Democratic Party (PD) MP Piero De Luca said this in Salerno, on the sidelines of a conference on sustainable development organized by the MP and attended by Confindustria President Vincenzo Boccia. "Will the government agreement hold up in the regional elections? We'll check," the Democratic Party representative responded, explaining that "at this stage, we have attempted to engage responsibly with a political force from which we had, and have had, enormous distances in recent years, in the interests of the country, its citizens, businesses, and Italian families." Returning to the possible alliance with the Five Star Movement, Piero De Luca—who glossed over the possible role of undersecretary—emphasized that "I believe this is a discussion that will be attempted throughout the country to advance some of the programs included in the government's platform."
