With a calendar of European and American competitions up to the final in Las Vegas, the International Swimming League presents a spectacle never seen before in the history of swimming: a cosmopolitan and ultra-modern team competition with 8 franchises. The launch of the ISL will take place in Indianapolis on October 5/6 and the second stage will be at the Piscina Felice Scandone in Naples, on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October, with a team captained by Federica Pellegrini and coached by Matteo Giunta.
Federica Pellegrini's team is called Aqua Centurions and will have among its ranks many of the best Italian swimmers such as Fabio Scozzoli (vice-captain), Ilaria Bianchi, Martina Carraro, Santo Condorelli, Elena di Liddo, Silvia Di Pietro, Luca Dotto, Nicolò Martinenghi, Alessandro Miressi, Margherita Panziera, Matteo Rivolta, Simone Sabbioni and Silvia Scalia. Aqua Centurions is a Made in Italy team with the participation of international stars such as Laszlo Cseh, Alba Vázquez, Kristián Goloméev, Sarah Kohler, Breno Correia and Philip Heintz. Less than a year from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, ISL will be a great opportunity to see swimming stars compete in fast distances (from 50 to 400 meters) and at the Felice Scandone pool in Naples, already admired during the Universiade, 4 teams will compete – Federica Pellegrini's Aqua Centurions, Caeleb Dressel's Cali Condors, Chad Le Clos' Energy Standard and Cody Miller's DC Trident – in the second of six events towards the Finals in Las Vegas. The future of swimming is now: water is the element of the revolution.
