With a note, the city secretary of the Democratic Party circle, addresses a bitter issue for the city of Scafati. We receive and publish the following:
“Where there is neglect, flames arrive, and even the historic watchman's house on the river risked being completely destroyed.
The new administration persists in its lack of attention to ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, and in the mistake of moving forward through adverts and improvisations.
And so, net of the Deputy Mayor's spot photos, let's be clear: the cycle path is not just a recreational tool, but should be included in a broad and organic project of sustainable mobility. That is, it should be an opportunity to use to move around the city with alternative means of transport to the car. We must finally create the PUM - the urban mobility plan - and through it integrate the path with a new traffic plan, a new parking plan, the strengthening of urban public transport. Everything is connected, and we should think about this in a careful and comprehensive way.
The same goes for public green spaces, from the Villa Comunale to the Parco di Via della Resistenza, to other urban voids in the city that could become public spaces for the community: is the Council preparing a preliminary study and a project based on the flows, characteristics and needs of the population, economic sustainability, usability for citizens of all neighborhoods? Or does it all always end up in a bit of propaganda and a few posts on Facebook?
In the meantime, we would like to point out that autumn is coming soon, and with it the rains. Has an ordinary and extraordinary cleaning of drains and manholes, often completely blocked and clogged, been planned in order to partially remedy the probable flooding? Or do we wait to chase the next emergency?
So, is there someone at Palazzo Mayer who takes care of the city?
