Pompeii, Casa Borrelli: the TAR recognizes the legitimacy of the mayor's actions

The Mayor of Pompeii Pietro Amitrano has called a press conference – in the Marianna De Fusco hall of the Municipality – to illustrate the Ordinance with which the TAR in the Council Chamber of September 10, a day eagerly awaited by all parties involved, has established that the elderly guests of the Casa Borrelli can “be placed in other facilities”, also considering the absence in the filed documents “of any documentation in relation to any pathologies that may prevent the transfer”.
The Mayor – assisted by Councilor Massaro and Director Sorrentino – in reading the TAR act, exuded evident satisfaction, albeit well contained, claiming the correctness of the work of the technical and administrative structures of Palazzo De Fusco. He was keen to reiterate to the Press present that he trusts in an action of dissemination of the Truth to bury months of unjustified hatred, fueled above all by fake news spread on Social Media without scruples, to fuel aversion to the EAV Project.
And, in fact, today the Municipal Administration scores two blows in its favor along the path of the current council: the EAV Project and the Borrelli House, which are about to find concrete implementation after a thousand controversies. Useless and specious, we at Cronache della Campania add, who have held firm to the course of Truth, alone, even in difficult times.
So, today the Neverending Story of the tormented affair of the Casa Borrelli in Pompeii, which has dragged on for months amidst requests, complaints, orders, shouts and outcries, has reached its final turning point. The balance of the various Committees, real and fake, who have taken turns in support of the protest, although legitimate - which does not necessarily mean just - of the employees of ASPIDE- Azienda Pompeiana di Servizi against the Municipality of Pompeii, which has appeared in court, and against ASPIDE itself, which has not appeared in court, is simply a failure.
Rivers of ink and stamped papers have been wasted, countless requests and petitions to the most varied and high political and institutional figures have been sent to collect only a handful of flies. Above all, administrative and judicial proceedings and investigations have been triggered that have gotten out of hand to the proponents and contenders. They may lead to future detrimental explosions to the detriment of all the parties involved. And the fire started by the parties currently in conflict has spread to the entire history of Casa Borrelli at least from the commissioner phase to today.
The unfortunate management of Casa Borrelli will come out, culpably implemented at least in the last fifteen years to the point of generating a debt of about one million Euros in the management phase. And the sloppy care of the real estate assets of the House. In short, profiles of happy and culpable administration emerge in both cases. Those who live will see, at this point. Meanwhile, during the press conference, some majority city councilors such as Mazzetti, La Marca and Di Donna, supported by the Manager, responded with the Mayor and the Councilor to the journalists' questions. From the discussion, calm but intense, the worrying profiles of the situation emerged that today sees the Illegal Occupation of the Municipal, therefore Public, property of Casa Borrelli. In addition, the forced de facto permanence of the Elderly in the structure closed to third parties is emerging.
Finally, the shortage of food supplies and other items emerges, which has already appeared on social media, where we read about two broken washing machines and a shortage of disposable syringes. In short, the situation at Casa Borrelli is worsening. The evenings of music and charity organized by improvised ladies of Charity are no longer enough. In the meantime, the TAR Ordinance closes, providing that its execution be handled by the same Municipal Administration of Pompeii which, in turn, for the Casa Borrelli issue has continuous agreements and consultation tables with the Prefecture of Naples. We are at the final stage. Better this way.
