September 21, 2019: World Alzheimer's Day. Portici 10,00:3 am “Open Doors” at the Geriatric Center of the ASL District in via Gradoni. Initiative promoted by ASL Napoli XNUMX Sud and the Patronage of the Municipality of Portici. On this day, the Geriatric Center of the ASL district of Portici is offering an “OPEN DOORS” event to its activities and spaces with a visit to the Residenza Sanitaria Assistenziale facility. Memory will be the guiding thread of the tour, which begins with a photographic exhibition by Dr. Gianluca Belfiore. This will be followed by a visit to the gym and an operations room, and it will be possible to see a room where our guests are staying. From here, the tour will continue to the conference room where visitors will be welcomed by the RSA Director Dr. Antonio Coppola, who will speak on “Taking charge of the patient and care pathways”.
The speech “Dementia: what to remember” by Dr. Antonio Colin, head of the Dementia Center, follows.
This will be followed by an experiential art therapy workshop, led by Dr. Gianluca Belfiore “RI-CORDA”.
The refreshment room will await visitors for a small tasting and the path will continue with a desk on the recovery of residual memory with educational material.
Within these activities, a sensory path will be outlined, which will invite each visitor to reflect on the memory of the senses. After a short walk, accompanied by phrases on memory, you will arrive at the gazebo, where the operators will talk about horticultural therapy and show works carried out by our guests themselves. A book will await each visitor to welcome their impressions. All this was possible thanks to the sensitivity and foresight of the Health Director of district 34 Dr. L. Stella Alfano.
