Among the many prestigious names in the running to host the final of the 2019 Mia Martini Award, which will be held in Bagnara Calabra from 10 to 12 October in the Palatenda in Piazza Municipio, the choice went to the effervescent Fatima Trotta, fresh from the success of the Rai 2 program “Made in Sud”.
“I am happy but above all honored to finally host the Mia Martini Award. A prestigious event that has reached its twenty-fifth edition. An event created to remember one of the most beautiful voices of the 900th century, the great Mia. I proudly accepted the proposal of my friend director Nino Romeo, creator and organizer of the Award. They will certainly be days of great pathos with young artists and big international names”.
With this statement, the beautiful and talented Neapolitan presenter introduces herself to the general public of the Mia Martini Award. Fatima achieved fame in 2008 with Made in Sud, demonstrating her ability to entertain and a strong sense of humor. In 2011, thanks to Made in Sud, she won the prestigious “European Personality Award” in the category of revelation program of the year, becoming over time an essential element in the hosting of the successful Raidue TV program. In recent years, she has acted in some films and theatrical comedies such as: Le piangere amare di Porto Marghera, 10 regole per fare innamorare, All'ultima spiaggia, Colpo di fortuna, Andiamo a quel paese and Matrimonio al Sud.
Nino Romeo and Franco Fasano, Artistic Director of the Award, are working, after choosing the presenter, to define the cast of the XXV edition, ensuring the presence of highly prestigious personalities.
The event is sponsored by the Calabria Region, the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria, the Municipality of Bagnara Calabra, SIAE-Italian Society of Authors and Publishers, Unipromos -Association for the promotion of social issues.
