Two girls reported to the Carabinieri of Budoni, a coastal town in Gallura, that they had been raped on a beach in Baia Sardinia, on the Costa Smeralda, after a night out at the disco, by four young men. The news was reported by the newspaper L'Unione Sarda. The Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor's Office has opened a file on the incident, the same one investigating the case of the alleged gang rape involving Beppe Grillo's son. The four, who are believed to be footballers from Campania, denied all charges when questioned by the magistrate. The Budoni military, coordinated by the Carabinieri of the Siniscola Company, acquired images from the video surveillance system of a club where the young footballers and the two girls had been before reaching the beach, and a video file, extracted from the memory of a smartphone. The two young women who reported the rape to the Carabinieri are one from northern Italy and the other from Lazio, and during the summer they worked as image girls in discos and beach clubs between Budoni and San Teodoro, on the north-eastern coast of Sardinia. The incident is said to have occurred in mid-July in Baia Sardinia, a well-known tourist resort a few kilometers from Porto Cervo, where a similar incident occurred in the same days reported by a girl from Milan and which sees four young men under investigation, including Ciro Grillo, the son of the Genoese comedian and founder of the M5S. In this case, the four boys accused of sexual violence - aged between 20 and 23 - are semi-professional footballers from Campania, on holiday in Sardinia at the time. According to the complaint, the two young entertainers had moved from Budoni to Baia Sardinia that evening to spend a free evening. After spending the night in a disco, they are said to have reached a nearby beach where the sexual violence took place. The Tempio Pausania Public Prosecutor's Office has not released any further details of the affair, but the four young men who have been accused have already denied all charges, providing some relevant elements for the investigations.
