Girl Locked in Home and Tortured for 4 Years by Mother and Partner: Sentencing Coming

A young woman from Teggiano was locked up in her home and abused for 4 years by her mother and her partner Stefano Bifolco.
The trial was held yesterday in the Lagonegro Court. Bifolco, a 45-year-old from Naples – who moved to Sapri over the years – violated some obligations and was arrested in Maratea. This is the man accused of having subjected his partner's daughter, Veronica, to violence and torture for four years, which took away her sight from one eye, damaged an ear, and left scars from burns on her back. Her mother Giuseppina Galdi, from Baronissi, is also on trial for this case. The 22-year-old from Teggiano, assisted by the lawyer Renivaldo Lagreca. Bifolco also has a criminal record for theft and robbery. In addition to this, he has also been convicted of evading. According to Veronica, the nightmare began in July 2011, when her mother took her away from home in Teggiano, first moving to her grandparents in Baronissi and then to Naples, together with that man who, according to both of them, turned out to be a torturer. Bifolco is accused of kidnapping and grievous bodily harm, while the girl's mother is accused of kidnapping.
